I write this, the day after a speedfunding event in London. So far, I feel as though I've had a good opportunity to present to good number of potential investors in a cost effective manner.
The strongest feature of using the site, is being to put yourselves in front of a number of angels without the high costs of involvement of typical angel networks. As we all know, most angel networks charge the earth with a significant risk attaching to become involved with them. This is highly undesireable for a new start business that is trying to conserve cashflow as far as possible. Angel's Den seems to break down this access cost.
As I write, we haven't found the investment funding yet, but it's just one day after the event, and we have hopefully generated enough interest to find the money that we need to take our business to the next level. We remain hopeful that this will come good in the next couple of weeks.

I found the Speed Funding event an excellent and original way to meet many angel investors in one evening, and to practice your business pitch to 3mins - what a challenge!
The location was great, and filming of the event adds a new dimension to angel investing which I haven't seen at any other events before.
As a result of the event, I've already set up some meetings with potential investors and look to secure our funding very soon.

Angels Den speed pitching event was miles better than other pitching events I've been to. The team helped us to prepare our information, the pitch and the business materials. We met some really great angels and will find out shortly if we've been successful.

Where else could I have found myself in the same room as 20 high net worth individuals - all actively seeking to invest? With follow-up meetings scheduled with a number of them and an additional 7 angels currently reviewing my secure online business plan, to say that I'm highly pleased with this service would be an understatement. Angels Den have been very helpful and friendly and the SpeedFunding event was very effective and well organised. Time will tell whether I get the funding I want through them, but I would recommend it highly to others. In fact I am going back for a second dose of SpeedFunding on Monday!

If you have done your homework, and are confident that you have a great idea - which is worth investment, there is no reason not to try this. Preparation is key, the Angels Den team know what they are doing, and they make it easy for you to give your idea the best possible chance. After that, it's up to you. Angels were great, atmosphere was exciting - weirdly enjoyable!

Angels Den is a great place for smaller investors to meet-up with start-ups requiring financing. The events are informal though regulated and everyone is made welcome, there's no need wear a suit (though the majority of investors and start-ups will be suited and booted).
Definitely worth getting involved from both sides of the table.

Definitely a worthwhile experience irrespective of whether or not we are successful receiving inward investment. Not only are we impressed with the concept of Angel's Den, but in the manner of the professionalism and support afforded to all the entrepreneurs throughout. The atmosphere made for a great evening which we thoroughly enjoyed and at no stage did it feel overwhelming or high powered, and to the contrary we felt very much at ease. It is perfectly clear to us as to why Angels Den is the market leader in its field and in these turbulent economic times, is a Godsend to those seeking funding that would likely be far more difficult trying to secure via conventional methods. As for strongest points, this can only be measured by its weaknesses of which none were in evidence...I think that sums it up. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to follow in our footsteps.

Went to Angel's Den last monday night feeling a mixture of excitement, apprehension and a slight bit of cynicism. After the event, came out feeling completely exhilarated. Amazingly had 3 interested Angels and after only 4 days am in fairly positive talks with 1 inparticular. Additional interest shown in my executive summary on line too. Try it, it actually works.
